What the job was
The customer had just bought a home in Parkland and wanted it cleared before move-in day. Three kinds of material needed to go:
- Moving boxes
- Old furniture
- Construction debris
In general, move-in cleanups combine light, bulky material like cardboard with heavier leftovers, and that mix is worth thinking about when you pick a size.
The size and service we used
The rental was our 18-yard dump trailer, kept for 7 days. That trailer is 14 by 7 feet with 5-foot sides, and it rents for $395.
Seven days is exactly what's included with every rental, along with 1 ton of weight. Past that, a daily fee of $50 starts on the 8th day.
Why that choice fit
In general, the 18-yard is a strong fit for garage cleanouts, furniture removal and renovation debris, which describes most move-in cleanups. It's a step up from our compact 15-yard without jumping to the largest trailers.
A rental rather than full-service removal tends to suit a move-in: cardboard shows up a few boxes at a time as you unpack, and a week lets you load as you go instead of piling everything in the garage.
Construction debris can add weight quickly, so keep an eye on it if the job includes tile or drywall. See the 18-yard trailer page or the home cleanout rentals page, and text (954) 247-1399 to book.
