What the job was
A customer had a Weston house that was going to be remodeled and then resold. Before any of that could start, the house needed to be empty, so we cleared it out completely.
By the end we had removed over 60 yards of household items: the furniture, boxes and contents of a lived-in home.
The size and service we used
We handled the clearing as a junk removal job, hauling with our 21-yard dump trailer, a 16-by-7-foot trailer with 5-foot sides.
For scale: more than 60 yards is roughly three times what that trailer holds at once. A whole-house cleanout is measured in trailer-loads, not in pieces of furniture.
Why that choice fit
In general, the 21-yard is the size we reach for when a project is bigger than a garage or a single room: estates, whole properties, heavier loads. It holds noticeably more than our 15- and 18-yard sizes.
Full-service removal tends to suit a whole-house job headed for a remodel because the timeline usually matters more than the labor savings. The contractors can't start until the rooms are bare.
