Cooper City was founded in 1959 and named for its founder, Morris Cooper. It grew fast: about 550 residents in 1960, just over 10,000 by 1980, and 34,401 by 2020. In 2006 the city annexed the Waldrep Dairy Farm.
The 2020 census counted 11,668 housing units, with only about 2.2% vacant. Embassy Lakes and Rock Creek are among the city's residential developments.
General guidance
A city that did most of its growing between the 1960s and the 2000s has homes spanning several decades. In general, the older end of that range is where kitchens, bathrooms and flooring get taken back to the subfloor, while newer homes more often need one room redone or an outdoor deck or patio replaced.
Low vacancy usually means demolition happens in occupied homes. That calls for protecting the rooms that stay, keeping dust contained and sometimes working in stages, all worth raising when you ask for a quote.
We serve Embassy Lakes, Rock Creek and the rest of Cooper City, including homes around Brian Piccolo Park, Bill Lips Park, Flamingo West Park and the Cooper City Sports Complex. The city borders Davie, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood and Southwest Ranches.
The single Cooper City job in our project history was a junk pickup for a homeowner or renter getting ready to move, not a demolition.

FAQ
Yes. Most Cooper City jobs happen in occupied homes. We cover and protect the rooms that are staying, carry debris out along the shortest path and sweep up at the end.
That depends on the association, so ask them directly. Common rules cover work hours and where a trailer can park. Pass along what they tell you and we'll plan the drop-off around it.
The 15 or 18-yard trailer is often enough for one kitchen or bathroom. Tile, mortar beds and plaster add weight fast, so mention them; each rental includes 1 ton, and weight beyond that is $120 per ton.
Whoever owns the home, or the contractor they bring on. Sunshine does not obtain permits. The city's building department can tell you what your project requires.
Yes, deck and patio removal is one of our demolition services. Send photos of the deck, what it's attached to and how we'd reach the backyard, such as a side gate. Cooper City is served from our Southwest Ranches location.
Ready when you are
In general, demolition in a compact suburb happens one room or one backyard at a time. Send photos of yours, and the quote covers the tear-out and the cleanup in one go.
