15-yard dump trailer — 14' long × 7' wide × 4' tall

What fits

  • The contents of one cluttered room: an old sofa, a mattress set, a dresser and a stack of bagged odds and ends
  • A small bathroom tear-out: vanity, toilet, mirror and the broken-up wall tile
  • A weekend of yard work: bagged leaves, palm fronds and cut-down shrubs
  • One side of a garage: shelving, boxes of old tools, a broken bike and lawn furniture
  • Old carpet and padding pulled from a bedroom or two
  • A few pieces of patio furniture plus the cushions and umbrella stand that came with them

Best for

  • Single-room cleanouts and small declutter projects
  • Yard cleanups that fill more than your bins but not a big trailer
  • Small remodel jobs like one bathroom or a laundry room
  • Tight budgets where a full-size trailer would sit half empty

Weight

  • Your flat rate covers 1 ton. The load is weighed at disposal, and any overage is charged at $120 per ton.
  • Even light material adds up across a full trailer. The U.S. EPA volume-to-weight factors put uncompacted mixed yard waste at about 250 lb per cubic yard and carpet at about 147 lb per cubic yard, so a trailer filled to the top with either can pass the included ton.
  • Tile, concrete and dirt are a different story. EPA lists concrete at about 860 lb and dirt and sand at about 929 lb per cubic yard, so a 15-yard load of either would pass the included weight long before it looked full.
  • If your project is mostly masonry, ask about clean fill trailers instead of filling a standard rental.

Includes 7 days and 1 ton. $50 per day will accrue beginning on the 8th day after delivery. Dump & Return service is charged as a new rental at the full flat rate for your trailer size ($350 for the 15 yard, $395 for the 18 yard, $440 for the 21 yard, $485 for the 24 yard). Weight over the included ton is charged by weight at a rate of $120 per ton.

How a 15-yard trailer compares to 10, 20, 30 and 40 yard roll-offs

Roll-off dumpsters are commonly sold as 10, 20, 30 and 40 yard containers and are set down by a roll-off truck. By rated volume, our 15-yard trailer lands right between the two smallest of those: more room than a 10-yard, a little less than a 20-yard.

The practical difference is the walls. This trailer is only 4 ft tall, a foot lower than our other three sizes, so lifting a bag or a box over the side takes less effort. That matters when one or two people are loading by hand over a weekend.

Unsure whether 15 yards is enough? Text a few photos of the pile to (954) 247-1399 and we will tell you which size fits.

When should you size up from the 15-yard?

Pick the next size up if your list includes more than one room, a full garage, or bulky furniture that does not break down. Our 18-yard trailer has the same footprint with walls a foot higher, which adds three cubic yards without needing any more driveway.

Staying with the 15 makes sense when the job is small and well-defined. Paying for space you will not use is the most common sizing mistake, and a compact trailer avoids it.

FAQ

15-yard trailer questions

How big is a 15-yard dump trailer?

It is 14 feet long, 7 feet wide and 4 feet tall. That is the same length and width as our 18-yard trailer, with walls one foot lower.

How much does the 15-yard trailer cost?

It is a flat $350, which covers 7 days and 1 ton. Extra days are $50 each and weight over the included ton is $120 per ton.

Is a 15-yard trailer big enough for a garage cleanout?

For one side of a garage or a light declutter, usually yes. A packed two-car garage with furniture and shelving is generally a better fit for the 18-yard. Text photos to (954) 247-1399 and we will help you choose.

Can I put concrete or tile in the 15-yard trailer?

Small amounts mixed with other debris are fine, but masonry is heavy and can push you past the included 1 ton quickly. For a load that is mostly concrete, tile or pavers, ask us about a clean fill trailer.

What can I not put in the trailer?

Leave out anything holding refrigerant, plus tires, batteries, paint, propane tanks, ammunition and hazardous materials. A load found with any of those is returned to you and a $100 surcharge is added.
