Lighter per yard than you might think, but it adds up. EPA conversion factors list about 127 lb per cubic yard for branches and stumps, and roughly 250 lb for mixed yard waste that has not been compacted. Fill a whole trailer with it and the load can still pass the included 1 ton, so tell us roughly how much you have.
The catch is air. Unbroken limbs and fronds leave big gaps, so a pile can look like twice what it is. Cutting branches to length and layering them flat makes a real difference in how much the trailer holds.
A landscaping client in Pompano Beach cleared branches, brush and other vegetation with our 24-yard trailer. Wide, bulky green loads are exactly what our largest size is built around.
Weight does creep in with certain material. Wet sod, soil, rock and stumps with root balls attached are much denser than brush, so if your yard project involves digging, mention it when you send photos.
